Mainframe Support is a unit within OIT Technical Services and Support responsible for technical support of the mainframe and the administrative transaction systems hosted on the mainframe.

Duties include:

Mainframe System Support

  • Hardware and operating system software installation, maintenance, and upgrades
  • 24x7 support for problem resolution and hardware repair
  • Performance and capacity utilization monitoring
  • Capacity planning
  • System security design and implementation
  • Support for audit logging and reporting systems
  • Administering contracts for hardware maintenance and software licenses
