Mainframe Support is a unit within OIT Technical Services and Support responsible
for technical support of the mainframe and the administrative transaction systems
hosted on the mainframe.
Duties include:
Mainframe System Support
- Hardware and operating system software installation, maintenance, and upgrades
- 24x7 support for problem resolution and hardware repair
- Performance and capacity utilization monitoring
- Capacity planning
- System security design and implementation
- Support for audit logging and reporting systems
- Administering contracts for hardware maintenance and software licenses
