The Office of Information Technology (OIT) offers database consulting services
for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases.
Benefits to departments include:
- Eliminates the need for departments to maintain expensive database consultant
contracts.
- Provides resources and capabilities that some departments may not be able
to individually afford.
- Reduces the need for database-related training for departmental IT staff,
allowing units to focus professional development resources in other areas.
- Increases time and resources available for departmental IT staff to devote
to user support issues.
Service Description:
The enterprise database consulting service provides departments the ability
to administer their databases to best suit their needs. These are some tasks
that can be performed by OIT DBA administrators:
- Health check of database with report
- Upgrade/patch databases
- Solving database problems
- Erwin diagrams and database design
- Data manipulation with SQL
EDBS will support the following databases:

Service Pricing:
Charges for the database consulting service consist of an hourly fee.
Consulting Fee:
Database services’ consulting is billed at a standard hourly rate of
$60.
