Online Navigation Environment (CP-ONE)

CP-ONE stands for the College Park - On-line Navigation Environment. It provides a framework and tools for computer system development at the University of Maryland at College Park. CP-ONE was developed by and is maintained by the staff of Student Applications Services.


CP-ONE provides the following services:

The following systems are part of CP-ONE:

  • All Student Information Systems (SIS)
  • All Academic Resource Systems (ARS)
  • Copier System (COP)
  • Production Control System (PCS)

CP-ONE resides on an IBM-ES9021 mainframe computer. The primary computer language is CA-IDEAL, a 4th generation language from Computer Associates. Some SAS, COBOL and Assembler are also used. The database used is CA-DATACOM/DB.
