Call Waiting
Call Waiting allows you to receive a second call on your line and place the first call on hold while you answer the second.

To hold a call and answer a call waiting tone, press and release the switch hook on your phone. At the dialtone, dial # 7. The original call will be placed on hold while you are connected to the waiting call.

When you want to return to your first call, press and release the switch hook and at the dialtone, dial # 7. You will be returned to the first caller.

*Note: if your phone does not have a switch hook, the FLASH button may be used instead.

Conference Calls (Six Party)
Have you ever been talking to one person and wished you could add another person to your conversation? Well, now you can. Conference Calling allows you to establish one conversation, then add additional people for a three party conversation (you and two other people).

To make a conference call, first establish a telephone call between you and one of the conference call participants by using the normal dialing instructions. To add the next person, press the switch hook button, and then dial the telephone number of the third participant. When the third person answers press the switch hook button, and the second person will be added to the conversation.

If the third person's telephone number is not available or no one answers the telephone, press the switch hook button to return to the second person.

To disconnect the last person added to the telephone call, press the switch hook button.

*Note: if your phone does not have a switch hook, the FLASH button may be used instead.

Call Transfer
Call transfer allows you to transfer a call on your line to another line on campus. If you are talking to a friend and that friend then wants to talk to another resident student, you can transfer the call to the second person.

If you wish to transfer a call, press the switch hook button and dial the desired 5 digit campus extension. When the called party answers, announce the call, then hang up to complete the transfer. If the called party does not answer, press the switch hook once to return to the original caller.

Last Number Redial
The telephone system remembers the last number you dialed each time you place a call. To redial the last number called on campus, press the switch hook or redial the last number called off campus, press, then enter your Personal Billing Number (PBN).

Distinctive Ringing
Distinctive ringing allows you to know if a call is originating from on or off campus. Calls originating on campus are identified by one ring and calls originating off campus are identified by two quick rings.
