Initial steps before configuring

You can open the PROSet Wireless software two different ways:
- If you are running in Windows XP in default mode, click on Start,
select All Programs, locate Intel PROSet Wireless and open
Intel PROSet Wireless.
- If you are running in Windows XP in Classic mode (screen shot below),
click on Start, scroll to Programs, locate Intel PROSet
Wireless and open Intel PROSet Wireless.

The Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless window opens, Click Help. (The
screen shot provided may not exactly match your Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless
window.)

Next, Click About...

Highlighted in green are the two places you can view the version of Intel
PROSet Software installed in the computer. This particular version that
is highlighted is the latest version Intel offers for their PROSet Wireless
Software.
If you are running version 9 of the Intel PROSet Wireless software, click
