    SIS: Student Information System

    • SIS supports all the academic services functions at the University such as admissions, registrations, and transcripts, as well as orientation and campus housing.

    SPOC: Single Point of Contact

    • SPOC creates a single point of contact for the Office of Continuing and Extended Education.

    DEANS/ADVISE

    • DEANS: Deans Electronic Academic Network System, gives eligible faculty/staff e-mail and access to the ADVISE system. ADVISE is an advising system accessible via telnet that allows users to access a variety of student information. See www.helpdesk.umd.edu/deans.

    ARES

    • ARES (Administrative Resource Enterprise Services) provides faculty and staff access for personnel and business services.

    Data Warehouse

    • The Data Warehouse is a collection of integrated institutional data that can be accessed by authorized UM staff and researchers.

    UMEG

    • The University of Maryland Electronic Grading system (UMEG) has been designed for faculty use in managing class administrative tasks such as submitting grades.

    Umail Maintenance Service

    • The Umail Maintenance Service allows Umail users to change passwords, email addresses in the on-line directory, and request and manage mail reflectors.

    University Calendar

    • The master University of Maryland Calendar is provided so that everyone can enter their own events into the database and also see what other events are scheduled for any given time.
