Guest Access
Guest access is available for visitors that are sponsored by faculty
or staff. OIT provides faculty and staff with the ability to sponsor
temporary guest access to the University of Maryland wireless network.
Use of our wireless network is currently restricted to faculty, staff,
students and university affiliates who have a Directory ID in the University
Directory. Wireless access requires us to authenticate (log in) using
our Directory ID and password. The Guest
Wireless Access Tool will allow
faculty and staff to sponsor up to four temporary Guest IDs. Each ID
can last up to 30 days. The tool also provides a mechanism for authorized
users to create more than 4 accounts if necessary.
