Campus Student Technology Fee Advisory Committee Project Proposal Request Format

Name, position (e.g. faculty, staff or student), e-mail, and telephone number of person responsible for managing project.

Approval:

  • Name of Dean(s), Director(s) or Department Chair(s) under which project is managed.
  • If the proposal is submitted by a student or student organization, there must be a faculty or department/unit sponsor.

Project Location(s):

  • Building(s) and room number(s).
  • Current space use (e.g. classroom, lab, office, etc.)

Project Scope/Description:
Include information regarding equipment, software, infrastructure, construction, etc.

Project Justification:

  • What student population and how many students will be served?
  • When will the project be available?
  • Include any student involvement with the project.

Page 2: Budget (Please provide a one page budget plus additional price quotes and estimates.)

Project Budget:

  • Total Project Estimate for Implementation
    • Provide the details to identify the amount requested from CSTFAC, which should be no more than $50K unless substantial campus-wide technology can be justified or multiple units are involved, in which case a maximum of $75K may be requested.
    • If CSTFAC will only fund part of the project, identify the other funding sources.
  • Virtually all technology proposals will have some long-term implications (maintenance, repair, replacement, etc.). Describe how on-going costs will be addressed by the proposing unit(s).
