Leaders, executives and other networking experts from China and the United States met at the Inn and Conference Center, University of Maryland University College located in College Park, Maryland to share ideas and explore new, advanced networking technologies.


CANS provided a forum for networking experts from China and the United States to discuss new networking technologies to enhance networking services.

The program included presentations by networking experts and panel discussions to explore different approaches and Executive and Technical Breakout sessions.

The opening Keynote Address was by Doug Van Houweling, President and CEO of the University Corporation for Advanced Internet Development (UCAID). UCAID is a consortium of United States research universities, in collaboration with private and public sector partners, currently engaged in the Internet2 and Abilene projects to advance networking technology applications for the research and education community.
