Scott Stone

Presentation: eCommunications-enabled Portals

Mr. Stone is a senior executive in the Electronic Commerce Industry, with broad management experience in marketing, sales, and business development. He has worked for both major corporations and new ventures, in key management and executive positions.

Mr. Stone is currently vice president for Unified Communication Solutions within the Communication Applications Group (CAG) of Avaya. This organization provides leadership for Avaya’s new eBusiness Initiatives and has responsibility for applications coming from the Messaging and IP Applications groups.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Stone was the eBusiness vice president for Lucent Technologies’ Enterprise Networks Group where he was responsible for Lucent’s Worldwide E-Business Services (WEBS) organization.

During his career, Mr. Stone was senior vice president of Marketing and Business Development for Internet Tradeline, a new venture company in New York’s Silicon Alley before joining Lucent. Previously, he held eCommerce management positions with IBM and GE Information Services, and served as an online shopping consultant to America Online. Before entering the eCommerce industry, Mr. Stone held senior management positions with Home Box Office and International Cablecasting Technologies (now TCI Music) in the cable television industry.

Mr. Stone holds an MBA from Columbia University and an undergraduate degree in Architectural Design from NC State University.
