Instructional Facilities

Academic Support supports various facilities which are available for support of instruction. These facilities offer different environments to support various levels of use of technology in support of instruction.

  • Technology Classrooms - classrooms that are equipped to make it easier for faculty to use technology in their classes.

  • Teaching Theaters - unique high-tech classrooms which use technology to transform lectures and learning.

  • Instructional WAM Facilities - IBM, Macintosh, and Sun WAM Lab Instructional Facilities. Utilization of these facilities is limited to approved instruction and programs offered by the College Park Campus. The facilities are open to all UM Faculty and Staff on an equal basis.

  • Faculty Technology Center - this classroom is devoted to supporting training opportunities for University faculty in their use of information technology.

  • Instructional Facilities Design - Instructional Facilities Design works with departments to design classrooms, training rooms, distance learning rooms, computer labs, and other educational facilities.
