OIT Online Training Options

|

The Office of Information Technology provides free online training from ElementK. Our one-year license with this organization expires as of June 30, 2004. In the near future, the University of Maryland will join with a consortium of other University System of Maryland institutions in providing licensed access to online training to each faculty and staff member at every institution in the consortium. However, we may experience a delay of up to one month until this new service is put into place. If you are visiting this site after June 30 and do not see a link to connect to the online service, please return in one month's time at which point we hope to provide more ubiquitous and complete online training services.

You can connect to the online library of training tutorials below. You will be prompted for your University Directory ID and Password. Upon providing appropriate authentication to access the materials, you will be logged in to one of 10 licensed connections to ElementK online training resources. Use the website's Keyword Search window to locate the training modules in which you have interest.

Please note that if all ten ElementK connections are taken, you will not be able to access the materials until someone signs off. Additionally, there is a forty minute time limit for training connectivity in order to fairly share this resource with all members of the University community.

Machine Requirements

You must be running Netscape 4.76 or later or Internet Explorer 5.0 or later with Macromedia Flash Player version 6 and Shockwave 7 in order to view the tutorial content.
