Pledge to Power Down for the Planet

The Office of Information Technology, the Office of the Provost, and the A. James Clark School of Engineering have partnered with the Climate Savers Computing Initiative (CSCI) to bring you the Power Down for the Planet sustainability challenge program.

Power Down for the Planet is bringing colleges and universities across the nation together in a friendly competition to reduce computing energy use and to find out which university can get the largest percentage of students, faculty, and staff to take the Power Down pledge. Please help the University of Maryland win the competition by logging on to www.powerdownfortheplanet.org/pledge between March 23 and April 17, 2009 and pledging to use green computing practices.
