The Office of Information Technology (OIT) wishes you a restful winter
break and productive New Year.
OIT offices -- including the Help Desk, Networking and Telecommunications Customer
Service Center, Digital Imaging Group, Software Licensing Office, Web Services,
and Terrapin Technology Store -- will be closed Saturday, December 22 through
Tuesday, January 1. We will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
OIT will also be closed on Monday, January 21 in observance of the Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr. holiday.
OIT Help Desk (301.405.1400 for students, 301.405.1500 for
faculty/staff)
The OIT Help Desk (including the ACT Program Repair Center) will be closed
from 4 p.m. December 21 through 8 a.m. January 2, when it will reopen weekdays
from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Help Desk will also be closed on Monday, January
21, for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Regular hours for faculty/staff
(Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 6 p.m.) will resume on January 22, 2008. Regular hours
for students (Monday-Friday, noon until 10 p.m.) will resume the week of January
28, 2008.
NTS Customer Service Center (301.405.4400)
The Networking and Telecommunications Customer Service Center (x54400 on campus;
nts-service-desk@umd.edu) will
be closed from 5 p.m. December 21 through 8 a.m. January 2, when it will reopen
weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The Service Center will also be closed on
Monday, January 21. Voice and network emergencies will be covered by leaving
a message that will notify an NTS staff member of the problem.
Campus Information Services Office (301.405.1000)
Campus Information Services (CIS) will close on Friday, December 21 at 4 p.m.
and reopen on Wednesday, January 2 at 8 a.m. For the time period of January
2 through January 18, CIS will be open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
CIS will be closed on Monday, January 21 for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
holiday. On Tuesday, January 22, normal hours of 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. will resume.
Terrapin Technology Store (301.314.7000)
The Terrapin Technology Store will be open from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. December 17-21
and will be closed December 22- January 1. It will reopen on January 2 with
the shorter hours of 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. through January 18. Beginning January
22, it will resume the regular hours of 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday.
WAM Labs
WAM labs will have modified hours listed below. For regular WAM lab
hours, please visit www.oit.umd.edu/wheretogo.
