Umail accounts will be migrated to the Mail@umd e-mail system on Tuesday, May 24 between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. If you have an umail account, please do not access it during this time. Generic accounts and reflectors will not be affected by this change.

During the migration, all mail in the umail accounts will be copied onto the Mail@umd system and new mail will be forwarded. No mail will be lost during the transition.

Some changes to e-mail clients (Netscape, Outlook, etc.) are needed to access mail on the new system. If you have trouble accessing your mail using your e-mail client after the migration, you can access it through Webmail at www.mail.umd.edu. Local tech support and the OIT Help Desk will be able to help you access your mail on Wednesday.
