Peer Training Program

The Office of Information Technology has been undergoing a reorganization of
services and personnel in an effort to more fully resource some of our core
services. An unfortunate, but necessary, part of this reorganization has
been the discontinuation of the Peer Training program. Due to a two-year
decline in class attendance, the difficult decision was made to reassign the
staff and resources that have supported the Peer Training program to other
areas of our organization. We are evaluating alternate methods of delivering
training services to students.

Students interested in obtaining concentrated instruction in Web development
skills and applications (e.g., Front Page, Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop,
etc.), can review opportunities provided by the LearnIT program offered by
the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (www.learnit.umd.edu).
