ACT and Apple Combine for Laptop Donations

By Fred Morris

OIT’s Academic Computers for Terps (ACT) program and Apple, Inc. recently provided a donation of 25 MacBook Pro laptop computers to the university’s Office of Student Financial Aid. This brings Apple’s calendar year contribution to 50 machines. The computers offer another way for Financial Aid to provide assistance to worthy students attending the University of Maryland.

As part of their commitment to the university and ACT, Apple has consistently supported the efforts of the program. Likewise, the patronage of the ACT program by students (and their families), faculty, and staff helps to make these contributions possible.
