by Deb Mateik

Call for Proposals

Technology is impacting teaching and learning experiences at the University of Maryland. The Office of Information Technology, in collaboration with the Center for Teaching Excellence, is calling on innovators, implementers, analysts, and critics of the transformation of education via technology to participate in the ninth annual Teaching With Technology Conference.

The conference, scheduled for Friday, April 5, attracts faculty, teaching assistants, and instructional technology support professionals from College Park and other regional universities and colleges.

If technology has enabled you to facilitate learning in new and exciting ways, we want to hear from you and so do your peers. Please complete the online proposal application (http://www.oit.umd.edu/TWT/app_form.html) by February 8, 2002. Once a proposal is accepted, authors will be asked to write a brief abstract for the conference web site. No formal paper will be required.

Conference Registration

Registration for the Teaching With Technology Conference will open on February 15 at http://www.oit.umd.edu/TWT. We hope you’ll be able to help us make this an exciting and thought-provoking day.
