The Data Policy Advisory Committee (DPAC) is responsible for establishing policies and guidelines governing the development and management of university-wide data and databases. The committee makes recommendations on issues of data definitions across databases, data collection and verification procedures, and the relationships between and across University databases and data elements. It reviews and comments on plans for the development and implementation of data warehousing initiatives and other efforts to provide appropriate user and public access to University databases. The committee consults broadly with the University community on policies of access to data, data security, and confidentiality and is charged with soliciting information and advice from users about the utility and effectiveness of University databases to meet their needs.
