University Technology Coordinating Committee Becomes a Reality

In June 2001, key University of Maryland information technology leaders gathered to discuss the formation of a new university-wide committee to coordinate IT activities at the university. This effort replaces the former Campus Computing Coordinating Committee that was a sub-committee of the Information Technology Advisory Committee. The new University Technology Coordinating Committee (UTCC) is co-chaired by Kathy Russell, College of Arts and Humanities, and Willie Brown, Office of Information Technology.

The mission of the UTCC is to improve communication and increase collaboration among the various people and units responsible for providing IT support, infrastructure, and administrative services throughout the university.

Meetings will be held the second Thursday of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information visit http://www.umd.edu/utcc.
