Dear askIT,

I recently loaded Office 2000 on my computer. I only see one toolbar and seem to be missing tools I used in Office 97. How do I get them back?

Toolbar Puzzled

Dear Puzzled,

In order to separate your standard toolbar tools from the formatting toolbar tools, you need to do the following: Select the Customize command from the TOOLS menu. Click on the Option tab and unselect the "standard and formatting toolbars share one row" option. Now, you are good to go!

Dear askIT,

I've been reading a lot lately about the new law that mandates web site accessibility. How can I comply with this new federal law?

Access Annie

Dear Annie,

There are two things that we can readily recommend. The first is to make sure that you use the ALT attribute for your images. (For example, < img src="pic.jpg" border="0" height="25" width="25" alt="Description of what the image is trying to display" >). The second is to do a free submit to Bobby, http://www.cast.org/bobby. Bobby will check your pages for compliance. If you get 4 "caps" you are doing great!
