Ungroup and recolor clip art, locate online clip art resources; make textual graphics with WordArt, insert pictures, and learn which graphic formats work best in PowerPoint.
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon PowerPoint Production Tips
Guide to practical design considerations: media options, environmental considerations, text and color tips.
12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. LUNCH BREAK on your own
1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Integrating Microsoft Features into a Presentation
Harness the strengths of MS Word's table feature and MS Excel's spreadsheet and charting features within PowerPoint; animate the elements of an Excel chart.
1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Inserting Media Objects into a Presentation
Learn how to insert video (or audio) clips into a presentation. [This content will not review how to create the video/audio clips themselves.]
2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. PowerPoint Tools for Giving the Presentation
Learn how the use of PowerPoint's presentation tools and how to create "timed" presentations; explore the pedagogical uses of Meeting Minder and Agenda Item features.
2:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Assisted Workshop Period.
Session presenter plus students will be available to aid during this hands-on workshop time. Participants can bring materials to work on.
