Face-to-Face Opportunities

• Institute for Instructional Technology (IIT)
  IIT provides skills training and peer mentoring to faculty and teaching assistants who wish to explore the ways in which technology can be integrated into their course curricula.
  
  
• UHR IT Workshops
  Visit the training at Maryland course catalog to select courses to assist in your use of instructional technologies (offered free of charge) or desktop productivity (offered for small fee).
  
  
• OIT Brown Bags
  OIT hosts a brown bag lunch discussion series of monthly faculty-led discussion meetings to promote the effective and appropriate use of ELMS and other learning technologies tools.
  
  
• Innovations in Teaching and Learning (ITL) Conference
  The annual ITL Conference, a collaborative effort with the Center for Teaching Excellence, celebrates the accomplishments of Maryland faculty who are using technology and other innovative strategies to transform the educational experience.
  
  

Online Opportunities

• Sloan-C Online Workshops
  The Sloan Consortium is an institutional and professional leadership organization dedicated to integrating online education into the mainstream of higher education, helping institutions and individual educators improve the quality, scale, and breadth of online education. The university's membership in this consortium gives faculty access to their vast array of online workshops. • Skillsoft E-learning Training
  Web-based training in desktop productivity, Web development, and IT administration technologies is hosted via the university's Training@Maryland site. This online training resource is available at no cost to University of Maryland faculty and staff.
