Some colleges have entered into a liaison with the Office of Information Technology through which "Technology Officers" are available as additional resources to faculty. Technology Officers work with the deans to set technology direction for the college that will be aligned with the technology direction of the university, as well as to participate in and be a conduit of information about new campus-wide technology initiatives. The Technology Officer is also available to help faculty strategize the integration of technology into their teaching and research and to help identify technological solutions to pedagogical challenges.
