Audio Visual Support Student Technicians

Looking for motivated students interested in technology.

Responsibilities: In this position students support the scheduled activities of the Van Munching Hall Technology Classrooms, Conference Rooms and Computer labs. Audio Visual Student Techs support the use of a variety technologies including A/V systems, Computing, and digital imaging as well as take direction from Full time Audio Visual Personnel. Student technicians also provide frontline technical troubleshooting support for the Audio Visual team as well as to the Smith IT Help Desk. The student technicians assist in maintenance of the Audio Visual facilities. All AV Student techs are supervised by a fulltime technician.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Students interested in this position must have a strong technology aptitude with knowledge of basic computer operating systems and general audio/visual technology skills. Successful applicant will have a willingness to learn, and an amiable attitude to work with faculty, students and staff. Student technicians MUST be dependable and punctual.

Hours: 5-20 hours/week (more hours available during the Summer) Monday through Friday, some weekend hours might be available on an “as needed” basis.

Location: Robert H. Smith School of Business at Van Munching Hall, Smith IT
