Single Sign-on with WOW

On Sunday, May 11, 2008 a new login process for Warehouse on the Web (WOW) was implemented.

This new “single sign-on” process uses the Common Login and eliminates the need for a separate WOW username and password, creates a more secure environment for logging onto the system and provides seamless transition from WOW to other applications that use the Common Login such as PHR, FRS, etc. within the same web browser instance. And you will continue to access WOW by clicking the WOW Login button on the WOW home page.

In the new single sign-on process, if you try to access WOW and you…

  • are not logged onto the Common Login (or your Common Login sesson is timed out), you will be redirected to the Common Login page where you will need to enter your Directory ID and password to login.

  • are already logged onto the Common Login, you will be taken directly into WOW without needing to log in again.

  • want to exit out of WOW, simply close the window: INSTEAD OF clicking the Exit button

Time Out/Refresh Issues that May Occur with WOW and/or the Common Login

  • WOW will timeout in 30 minutes with no activity.
  • The Common Login will timeout in 60 minutes with no activity.
  • If the Common Login has timed out, you will need to log back onto the Common Login to access WOW.
  • If WOW has timed out but the Common Login is still active, you can continue to use WOW without logging back in. However, you may get a message asking if you want to display the nonsecure items, click Yes.
