Bonnie Chojnacki, M.L.I.S.

Bonnie Chojnacki is a faculty member with the University of Maryland Libraries. She received a M.L.I.S. degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998. She is contributing to the East Asia Science and Technology (EAST) initiatives by identifying English language resources for the development of science courses and modules that integrate aspects of East Asia. She brings considerable library research experience across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities and has worked in science. Before coming to Maryland she was a faculty librarian at Hillman Library, University of Pittsburgh and at the Gumberg Library, Duquesne University. Before beginning professional work as a librarian, she was a research assistant in bioethics at the Center for Medical Ethics, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In addition, she provided background library research in environmental philosophy and bioethics for faculties in the Department of Philosophy and Religion, Chatham College. She previously worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine, Central Blood Bank, Pittsburgh and was an assistant research biologist at Carnegie Mellon University.
